Cedric's Development (00-06 month)

Cedric’s Growth – 3 month-old

Cedric is 3 month-old!
  • He is drinking 150ml every 4 hourly. Still not yet sleep through and will wake up 1 time in the middle of nite for milk.
  • He is able to lift up both his arms and legs and “twist” his body to one side.
  • He loves to smile a lot or looking at people while waiting for people to smile back to him. Love cooing a lot also when he is in good mood.
  • He hasn’t go for his 5 in 1 jab as well as rotavirus and pneumococcal because he just recovered from his Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) not long ago. Vaccination has to be pushed back a littlte.
  • Weight only increase by 0.4kg within 1 month time.
  • His double eye lid started to appear slowly begin with his left eye. Now the right eye’s double eye lid also  starts to “come out” but still not  stable yet.
  • He still not good at sucking his pacifier nor his thumb. Very slow in this area. Actually We dont intend to let him suck the pacifier but he seems like addicted liao and once the pacifier falls out of his mouth then   he starts to make noise.
  • Some people commented that he look alike his sister but personally I dont think so.
  • He is more gentle than Valencia and always sleep late around 11pm. So tiring.
  • Slim down a bit and not as chubby as when he is 2-month old.

We are planning to go malacca on next friday and have to apply passport for Cedric. Taken Cedric photo and edited the photo but somet commented that it is not natural. Inital application was rejected due to uneven brightness on his face: What about this one?

These photo are created using the online tools www.123PassportPhoto.com . Hope his passport application can be approved very soon. If not, we have to send him to ICA to take photo.

Some guidelines copied from ClubSNAP Phohtography forum on how to take baby passport photo:

The following are the checklist for generating acceptable passport photos:

1. Frame subject with full face, front view, eyes open, mouth closed

2. Center head within frame

3. Photograph subject against a plain white or off-white background; Usually using smooth white cloth as background should be OK.

4. Position subject and lighting so that there are no distracting shadows on the face or background

5. Encourage subject to have a natural expression. No smiling. As reported by timesonline, smiling babies contributed to 400,000 passport applications being rejected by The UK Passport Service (UKPS) towards the end of 2005. So no smiling, just natural expression.

6. Ensure light on the face is even.

After taking the photo, you can use the following online tools to generate a 4R photo. No need to worry about the size requirements. The systems help you to crop the photo and put several passport photos on a 4R sheet.

Please see the recommended guideline below. The requirements should be similar for Singapore passport.
